By: WROC-TV
Updated: August 8, 2012
A 7-year-old boy is recovering from injuries after he was hit by a car in Ontario County.

Deputies responded to the Friendly Village Mobile Home Community in Manchester on Tuesday night.

Deputies say the boy was playing in a yard and he ran across the street. That's when deputies say he was hit by a car.

The child was taken to Clifton Springs Hospital for evaluation. Deputies say his injuries are not life threatening.

No tickets have been issued, and deputies say sun glare may have played a role in the incident.
