Wings Thunder Ahead, Then Let Thunder Finish Win

By: Thad Brown
Updated: August 4, 2012

The Red Wings used an Evan Bigley grand slam in the sixth inning to trounce the Mud Hens on Saturday night in Toledo. The game was called after six innings due to severe thunderstorms.

Rochester had gone 427 games since their last grand slam before Rene Rivera hit one Monday. Now, the Wings have two slams in the same week.

Chris Parmalee got the Red Wings on the board with a solo homer in the fourth.

Rochester is now 7-0 against Toledo this season.

The Hens and Red Wings go at it again on Sunday evening with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
