Today 4 former employees from Sutherland Global Services have been arrested and charged by Criminal Complaint with mail and wire fraud against Intuit, Inc. Brian Wergin, Bodhan Lezecky, Raymond Locklin and Christi Meehan face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, a find of $250,000, or both.

Federal prosecutors say that between October 2009 and October 2011 the defendants were employees of Sutherland Services and assigned to Intuit, Inc as Help Desk Support Technicians. According to the Complaint, the employees placed false orders for over 8,000 TurboTax and Quicken free or replacement software discs. They then stole these and resold them for personal profit. Intuit estimated they lost at least $1 million because of the incident.

All defendants will appear in court at a later date.
