Cuomo Signs Bill to Provide Insurance For Kodak Retirees

Retired employees from Kodak can breathe a little easier now that a new bill will help them get insurance coverage.
Governor Cuomo signed the bill Wednesday. The bill opens the opportunity for insurance companies to offer retirees some type of coverage. The retiree plans would not be considered small group policies, which the current insurance law classifies it as. The former employees would be able to keep their existing package of benefits at a premium rate that is based on the collective claims experience of that one group.
