Matthew Leach Laid To Rest

The funeral for a Rochester man mistakenly shot by his father was held Thursday.

Matthew Leach, 37, died over the weekend at a motel in Old Forge. State Police say Matthew's father, Perry Police officer Michael Leach, shot him after mistaking him for an intruder. Leach is also a former Rochester Police captain. State Police are still investigating. Charges have not been filed against Leach.
