Six People Dead In Jefferson County

Six people were killed in a car crash Thursday morning in the Jefferson
County town of Antwerp.
State Police say a tractor trailer was coming up to a
line of traffic near a repaving project, but the tractor trailer was not able to
stop in time.
It hit one of the cars near the repaving project and then two
other cars were hit. One of the cars had five people inside, and at least three
of them were family members.
The car caught fire and all five people were
killed. Troopers have identified the driver as Laurie Dana, 42, of
Lawrence, NY.
Her four other passengers were killed. That included two
14-year-old's,
an 11-year-old girl, and 69-year-old woman.
Another woman, Maryann Gregory, 59,
of Dickinson Center, NY was taken to a hospital where she died from severe head
and chest injuries.
The truck driver, James Mills, 45, of Pennsylvania was
taken to a hospital for treatment.
Another man, who was in a State Department
of Transportation Truck was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Syracuse.
Troopers say Lewis Lottie Jr., 44, of Nicholville was listed in critical condition.
