The $60 million project brings all facets of cancer treatment under one roof, so patients no longer need to go to Strong Memorial Hospital next door. The 100,000 square feet on new space includes 30 new beds, all in private rooms.
Cancer survivor Michael Donnelly remembers what treatment was like before this building, and is excited to see how it will transform the way patients are cared for.
The new floors also include features to make patients feel at home, including a snack area, exercise rooms, and video games. The new floors open to patients on July 23rd.
