The 13th annual Syracuse Nationals is set for July 20-22 at the NYS Fairgrounds.
Bob O'Connor, the event founder joined Katrina Irwin on News 8 at Noon to talk about the event.
The three-day automotive extravaganza has become a
tradition for thousands of classic car and truck owners and their families
from all over the country. The event is open to hot rods, muscle cars,
classics and customs manufactured in 1980 and before.
In 2011, the Syracuse Nationals attracted more than 7,600 registered
vehicles from more than 30 states and five Canadian provinces, and more than
86,000 attendees, making the show the largest on the East Coast and one of
the largest in the country. Since 2000 the show has donated $500,000 to
charity and this year hopes to reach the $600,000 mark.
