A Rochester teen reported missing has been located after her family and police had been looking for her for nearly a week. Brianna Casanova Stevenson,14, returned to the Center for Youth where she had been staying Wednesday night around 10:40 p.m.
Brianna's father says the two friends she was with urged her to go back after seeing media reports that her family was desperately looking for her.
Family members were especially concerned because Brianna--who had run away from the the shelter--suffers from epilepsy and had not taken her medicine. Her father, Jorge Casanova, says she has since taken her medication and is now doing fine.
Casanova wants to thank the two friends that signed themselves out of the shelter to watch over Brianna and make sure she was safe, he says those two should contact the Center for Youth if they need any help.
