Xerox says its signed an agreement to acquire a company that provides technical support to a number of the world's largest wireless telecommunication brands. WDS is based in the United Kingdom, but it has over 2,000 employees in the United States, the UK, South Africa, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. WDS provides technical support, knowledge management, and other consulting services. Xerox says as part of this agreement, it will allow the company to be a leader in customer care solutions. It handles more than a million consumer interactions every day either by way of the phone or internet.
