Two People Shot on Genesee Street

City Police are investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday night on
Genesee Street.
Officers say they responded to St. Mary's Hospital for the
report of two men who had been shot. Officers found one victim who had suffered
several gun shot wounds to his upper body.
The 2nd victim suffered a gunshot
wound to his lower body. Officers say they learned the victims drove to the area
of Genesee and Magnolia Streets to buy cigarettes at a corner store.
Officers
say the two were sitting in a car when they heard gunshots and both of them
realized they had been shot. They drove to St. Mary's Hospital.
Officers say
the suspect fled the scene. The victims, a 25-year-old and a 26-year-old man,
were later taken to Strong Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
