Nucor House Celebrates Grand Opening

By: WROC-TV
Updated: July 10, 2012
A transitional home to help veterans battling PTSD will hold its grand opening ceremony Tuesday.

Warrior Salute and CDS Monarch partnered to make the Nucor House in Penfield a reality. Local companies donated time and resources to get the house ready for vets in the Warrior Salute program. The program helps vets who were injured while fighting for our country. Many of the vets are coping with post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries. The home is a place for them to stay as they receive treatment. Up to 14 vets will have individual rooms, a kitchen and rooms to relax in. There is also a family suite for weekend visits.

The grand opening will take place at 10 a.m.
