Genesee Country Museum Launches "Intrepid"

The Genesee Country Village & Museum is premiering the first manned Civil War balloon replica.

The balloon was the brain-child of Professor Thaddeus Lowe of the Union Army of Balloon Corps. President Lincoln gave its final approval. The Intrepid has garnered a strong nationwide response and is expected to be a popular summer tourist attraction.
