Rochester Fire Department says that they responded to the house after a young kid called 911. When they arrived, the fire floor was on fire and a woman was hanging out of a second story window. The woman was rescued along with the child that called 911 from the first floor. Two others were able to escape.
Rural/Metro says they transported two females and one male to the hospital. Two of the patients, one male and one female, escaped the fire and were treated and transported for smoke inhalation in stable condition. The third patient was a neighbor who complained of difficulty breathing from inhaling nearby smoke. All were transported to Rochester General.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the house can be repaired.
