Fatal Accident in Yates County

A man is dead after a car accident Saturday morning in Yates County.

Yates County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened just before 8:30 a.m. A car driven by Robert Mizener failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle hit a guard rail, went through a lawn, and struck a tree. The car came to a rest in creek bed out of view from the road.

Mizener was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
