Police say they have arrested David Miller, 48, for allegedly tampering with evidence. Miller is accused of going to the scene of where Lewis McCall, 66, died and allegedly concealing evidence that was relevant to the death investigation. McCall's body was discovered by a fisherman early Sunday morning in some water near South Main Street behind the Old Wegmans Plaza. The body was found in a canal that runs into Canandaigua Lake. Police believe Miller was at the scene around 7 a.m. Sunday.
Miller was arraigned in Canandaigua City Court and sent to the Ontario County Jail where bail was set at $10,000. Police say the investigation into McCall's death is on-going. Anyone with information is asked to call Canandaigua Police at 585-394-3311.
