Police Investigating Shooting on Dr. Samuel McCree Way

Rochester Police are looking into an apparent early morning shooting on Dr. Samuel McCree Way.

Police say a 27-year-old male victim was dropped off at Strong Hospital by a private vehicle. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim told police he was in a vacant lot when an unknown suspect tried to rob him. As the victim ran to escape, the suspect fired a shot.

The incident is still under investigation.
