As of Tuesday, July 26, $658,487 was raised for Karen Klein on the site indiegogo.com.
The Greece bus monitor who was bullied by students met the man who started the online fundraiser.
Max Sidorov lives in Toronto and decided to put up the fundraiser when he saw the online bullying of Klein.
On Tuesday, he traveled to Klein's home in Greece to meet her for the first time.
He met her at her door with a hug and they spent several hours talking.
He was unable to give News 8 an interview.
The original goal was to raise $5,000 to send Klein on a vacation.
But over within days, the donations poured in from around the world.
There are more than 30,000 donors who have contributed to the effort.
There are still more than 20 days left for donations.
Klein's family says she is thinking about using it for retirement.
Klein's life has changed drastically since the bullying incident went viral around the world.
She has been a guest on major news programs on television and radio.
National magazines have interviewed her and later this week she is traveling to Boston for yet another radio appearance.
She told News 8 that the support has been overwhelming.
Her mailbox is filled everyday with cards and letters from around the world.
She said she is trying to keep up with it all but said she hopes people hear the message to stop bullying.
