Spencerport Mother Dies in Crash

A 50-year-old mother from Spencerport is dead after a two car crash in Phelps.

It happened Saturday at the intersection of Gifford and Marbletown road.

State police say the mother, the female driver of a sedan and two children were

inside a sedan that either didnt stop or failed to yield at a stop sign.

That caused the car to crash into a van driven by a 58-year-old Newark man.

All 5 people involved went to Strong Hospital, two by Mercy Flight.

The sedan's passenger died at the hospital.

The accident is under investigation.
