NYS Trooper Fired After Hearing

By: WROC-TV
Updated: June 22, 2012
Following an administrative hearing, the New York State Police have terminated Trooper Titus Taggard, 41.

Taggart had previously been suspended, as a result of an internal investigation.  He was accused of organizing off-duty parties, which included the promotion of prostitution. Taggart, who was stationed in Buffalo, was an 18-year-veteran of the State Police.

The ongoing internal investigation has also led to the suspension of Troopers Frederick Franklin and Mark Hufnagel without pay.  That suspension resulted from allegations of unrelated misconduct.
