New York State Troopers were called Tuesday night to pull a 16-year-old boy off of the Frederick Douglas Susan B. Anthony bridge.

Police say the boy was dangling his legs over the side of the bridge. A State Trooper arrived on scene
and talked with him. Police say the boy was distraught and refused assistance. Another trooper arrived later and distracted him. They pulled him back over to the safe side of the railing.

The 16-year-old was not injured. He was taken to Strong Hospital for evaluation
