Thompson Health Announces Affiliation With URMC

Thompson Health in Canandaigua has entered into a new partnership with the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Officials from both organizations say the new affiliation will allow them to better serve the Rochester and Finger Lakes communities. Thompson already has connections with the medical center, particularly in areas of surgical specialty, oncology and cardiology. Thompson Health will maintain its own board of directors and local president.
U of R president Joel Seligman says the partnership brings "the critical mass and collective talent to re-imagine a more robust, affordable and higher quality health care system."
