Kodak Suit Against Apple

By: WROC-TV
Updated: August 23, 2012

As Kodak goes through its bankruptcy proceedings, it has filed a motion in court to solve a patent dispute with Apple and offshoot company Flashpoint.

The two companies are claiming patent ownership after collaborating with Kodak in the 1990's. Kodak is rejected those claims. The company hopes filing the motion will help to move things quickly. The compromise though is that potential buyers would have to be aware that Apple or Flashpoint might have a stake in those patents. Kodak is hoping to have this patent dispute solved ahead of its' summer patent auction.
