Federal funding is coming to the Veterans Outreach Center of Rochester to provide job training for struggling veterans.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand made the announcement Tuesday. The center is receiving about $300,000 through the U.S. Department of Labor's Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program. The money is part of a nationwide effort to put veterans looking for employment back to work. Over 8,000 veterans are expected to benefit from the initiative.
