Three Charged with Assaulting Deputy and Officer

Three people are in the Genesee County Jail after the Sheriff's Office says they physically assulted a sheriff's deputy and a police officer.
It happened yesterday at a home on Maple Street in the Village of Leroy.
The officers were there to arrest 25 year old Michael Mead for violating a court order of protection.
As they were making the arrest, they said Michael's father tried to break up the arrest by hitting the deputy and officer with a door.
Then sheriff's deputies said a third person, Elaina Mead, came at them with a knife and tried to stab the deputy.
The officer was able to prevent that from happening.
The three are facing multiple charges.
