Seneca Zoo's 18-year-old cougar dies

A day after an 18-year-old cougar died at Seneca Park zoo, contemplations of whether or not the zoo should get a new one have begun.

Anna, the female cougar, came to the zoo in 2005. Officials say age-related heart failure led to Anna's death. Anna's brother Monther Mouny died at the Seneca Park zoo in 2009 for the same reason.

Zoo staff says cougars typically live to be 8 to 12 years old in the wild, but live longer in captivity.
