Over Twelve Thousand Tickets Issued During New York's Buckle Up Campaign

State Police say that over 12,000 tickets have been issued as part of the state's buckle up New York campaign.
State Police say the campaign was held from May 21st to June 3rd. Drivers can be fined up to $100 dollars for each passenger under the age of 16 that is not properly restrained in a car. The driver can also receive violation points on their record with the state DMV.
