Thomas Pieters continues to add hardware to his trophy cabinet. With his third straight round under-par, Pieters (who also won the NCAA Championship with Illinois) took home the 72nd Monroe Invitational Championship with a score of -8.

Pieters entered the day tied for the lead with Alex Edfort at -6. Edfort started the round on fire and held a four stroke lead after 10 holes. He then bogeyed 11 and 12, while Pieters birdied and eagled those hole to take a one shot lead. Pieters parred out the remaining holes to end -8. Edfort had chances for birdie putts but could not get them to drop.
