Anti-Fracking Supporters Gather For Rally

Members of New Yorkers Against Fracking gathered in Rochester Thursday for a rally.
Lobbyists rallied outside of Senator Joe Robach's office in Greece in response to a report that the State Department of Environmental Conservation and Governor Cuomo will move forward in allowing fracking in parts of New York. Fracking is a process by which natural gas can be extracted from the Earth using water, chemicals and sand. Those who opppose fracking say it is dangerous and cause contamination, accidents and explosions.
There is no word of when or if the state will begin experimenting with fracking.
