911 Dispatcher Charged with Computer Trespass

A Rochester 911 operator is facing charges after the City says he used his position to get information for personal use.

Matthew Gizzi, 37, has been a dispatcher for 16 years.  He is being charged with computer trespass, which is a felony.

The City says in March, Gizzi used the 911 computer system to get information.  They offered no specifics about what kind of information.  The system is only meant to be used for first response situations.

He is now on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.  Gizzi is set to be arraigned in city court next Tuesday.
