Suspect Arrested in Connection to Attempted Bank Robbery

Police released a surveillance photo from the bank, and at approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday night Barber was in custody after a person called police with information on his location.
Desmond Barber is accused of attempting to rob the ESL Federal Credit Union on 225 Chestnut Street at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. According to police, the suspect passed a note and demanded money. The suspect left without any money and no weapon was displayed.
Barber is being charged with 3rd degree Attempted Robbery and 4th degree Attempted Larceny.
