HFL Baseball didn't look like a team that hadn't won a Section V title in 39 years, but perhaps that was what it took to break the long droubt. Dylan Swetman threw a complete-game 4-hitter with 10 strikeouts as HFL took down Batavia in the Section V Class A Championship 7-1.

Swetman also clubbed a 2-run home run in the fourth inning for the Cougars. It's HFL's first title since 1973. David Donatello also drove in two runs for the Cougars as their record improves to 14-9.

For Batavia, their season comes to an end with a 15-8 record.
