The Knighthawks had hosted a title game before, but lost to Toronto in 2003.
Finally on Saturday night, Rochester got to win a big trophy in front of the home crowd.
After trailing 5-1 at the half, the Knighthawks outscored Edmonton 8-1 in the second to come from behind and win 9-6 in front of 9,277 at Blue Cross Arena Saturday night.
It was the first championship for the K-Hawks since 2007.
