In a matchup featuring two of the top teams not only in Section V and New York, but all of the United States, Fairport and Irondequoit proved they were worthy of their high praise even after the Red Raiders claimed an 8-5 victory.

The win gives Fairport a 16-0 record to wrap up the regular season. The Red Raiders will have the top seed in the Section V playoffs. Senior Brian Martin picked up a hat trick and an assist while goalie Blaze Riorden made several key saves in the second half to keep IQ at bay.

Nick Doktor led Irondequoit in scoring with 4 goals. They end the regular season with a 14-2 record.
