The man accused of killing an East High School student reported missing pleaded not guilty to murder charges in court.

DeVante Lively, 20, is charged with second degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Larie Butler. Butler's family members were visibly emotional in court today. Butler went missing in March. She told her mother she was going to the mall with a friend, but never returned. Her body was recovered almost a week later in a pool covered by a tarp in Irondequoit. The pool belonged to neighbors of Lively's grandmother.

Lively is currently being held without bail at the Monroe County Jail. He will be back in court on June 19th.
