Kodak says it is necessary to retain essential people as it works through bankruptcy. The U.S. trustee program is part of the Justice Department. It monitors corporate bankruptcy cases. The trustee is concerned some of the money could end up going to CEO Antonio Perez and other high-level executives.
The issue will be discussed in bankruptcy court next Monday.
