Living Here: Pittsford

Where can you find a Four Diamond restaurant, a world class PGA golf course and the Erie Canal running through the village? Of course we're talking about Pittsford!
Betty and Walter Doehring have lived all over the place, but they say nothing compares to Pittsford.
"We like the area," says Betty. "Over by the canal there, with all the birds and rowing. It's just such a nice place to be," says her husband, Walter.
There's plenty to do, and everything is just a short walk away.
"I think this is a great little town because you can just walk around, go to a lot of little boutiques and shops, Schoen Place is right there," says Kathy Weber, who works in Pittsford.
You'll find plenty of shops with boutiques also lining Main Street, for those savvy shoppers.
"They just draw the people, these little boutiques do," says Weber. "Instead of going to the malls and all that, the owner from this store (Chandeliers) goes to New York to get her merchandise, so we're like a step ahead of what's coming out of New York."
Stylish, with so much to do!
"These people can just walk along the street, eat an ice cream, see the sights, sit on a bench and watch the people, and just shop," says Weber.
We'll be taking a closer look at some of those shops and restaurants throughout the month in "Living Here."
