Updated: April 5, 2012
The man accused of killing East High School student Larie Butler has been indicted by a grand jury.

DeVante Lively, 20, was supposed to appear in Irondequoit Town Court Thursday morning for a preliminary hearing, but it was canceled because of the indictment. The indictment will not be released until later this month. Lively was originally charged with second degree murder for the death of Larie Butler, 17. Butler's body was found last week in a swimming pool next door to Lively's grandmother's house in Irondequoit.

Calling hours for Butler are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Aenon Baptist Church at 175 Genesee Street. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday morning at 10 a.m.
