Kodak filed a layoff notice with the New York State Department of Labor this week.

About 107 employees are affected.

The lay-offs are coming mostly from the Kodak offices in downtown and on Manitou Road, according to the notice.

Kodak won't go into details about what these jobs are specifically.

The company says some of these notices may be cuts already announced, like the end of the company's digital camera business.

That business has 400 employees - significant cuts expected there.

Kodak says it will continue to make "adjustments" to staffing during bankruptcy.

One employee News 8 spoke with on Friday said he and about 100 other workers in Kodak's film sensitizing division were given pink slips.

He said some were voluntary departures.

Since Kodak filed for bankruptcy in January, there have been continual cuts to staff.

"I don't think it's a shock to anyone inside of Kodak,"said Doug Hendee, financial analyst for Brighton Securities.

Hendee says Kodak will continue to make cuts to any areas that are not profitable.

He says expect to see more layoffs like this coming over the next six to twelve months.
