NY Missing: Domonique Holley-Grisham

It was February 12th, 2009.  Mozell Jones-Grisham had no idea her life was about to change for the worse.  "Somebody called him on his cell phone.  He went out the door and that was the last time that we seen him." Jones-Grisham says. 

Her son Domonique Holley-Grisham had just returned home from a hockey game and was spending time with his brothers when he got a phone call and left.  "So I'm like he'll be back.  Just thinking he went out because it was like in the afternoon," she says.   
 
But that was the last time she would see her son.   "It got to be later and later and then we called the police.  The police came and they basically told me he probably ran away."  Jones-Grisham doesn't think Dominique ran away and neither does his younger brother Marcus.   "My brother was a brother I always loved a brother that I always thought about that wouldnever run away.  Last person I ever thought would run away," says Marcus Grisham.

"He wouldn't have a reason to run away.  He didn't take no clothes, no shoes, no nothing, he just left," says Jones-Grisham. 

She is confident he is still out there somewhere.  Earlier this month, on the three year anniversary of his disappearance, she held a vigil.  She was trying to raise awareness about the case.  The police department says the case is still active.  But they haven't had any leads.  "I am wondering where can he be.  What is he doing."

Marcus never stops searching for his brother's face in the crowd.  "I thought I'd seen him downtown.   I wasn't really sure but the dude I saw ran.  Still think about that to this day.  Still looking for him no matter what,"  says Grisham.  

Recently Jones-Grisham joined a support group that includes other local people with missing family members.  They call themselves "missing the missing"  Pastor Britt Pledger from Jesus the Christ Church says it helps.  "Them working together helps one another.  And they get that comfort between each other," he says.   

But for Jones-Grisham, the only thing that will make her feel better is knowing what happened to her son.  "I hope I get some kind of closure out of it," says Grisham.

Domonique did have ties to the Honeoye Falls area as well.  He attended elementary school there when living with his godmother.  Just prior to his disappearance he was living in Rochester and attending East High.
