Hannah Osgood spends a lot of time in the band room at Aquinas Institute. Music helps drive her other interests. She's been playing the french horn for 8 years. "I like it because it's very versatile," she says. "It can be low range and high range. It has a beautiful, mellow sound." Although she plays for fun and relaxation, Hannah's talent and skill earned her a slot in the All State Symphonic Band.
At Aquinas Institute, Hannah takes part in the pep band, concert band, and jazz ensemble. She's a standout in the concert choir, and routinely performs in school musicals. "Her passion for music is contagious across the Aquinas family," says Aquinas Band Director Meaghan McTammany. "She's fully devoted to the music program here, both in bettering herself as a musician but also in helping others."
"I do this purely for the enjoyment and personal satisfaction I get out of it," says Hannah. Next year, Hannah will study biochemistry in college. But she'll never abandon music. This perceptive, dedicated artist knows it's at the heart of most everything she does.
