One of the year's best (and wildest) games came down to the final second in Hilton. Plus, Thad Brown and Cory Hepola discuss the best of the rest from Week 2 in Section V.

Please give me a break theday 187. You are obviously from Pittsford. Hilton is a stand up team. I am not from either Hilton or Pittsford but I can say this, if there was any poor sportsmanship going on, it was def from Pittsford. I know the Pittsford parents and players and if there was any wrong doing it was all on them.

I still would like to see a quality tape of that game. Thanks for clarifying the first down/clock stop thing for me. Everyone jumped to a conclussion at the end; even the Pittsford thought they lost. It gets the blood rushing, doesnt it? Especially when it is by players not going home in million dollar rides. That game was a great representation of true all American football. Both teams should stand proud.

Its high school football people. Get over it. This isnt Texas.

Hilton vs. Pittsford: I want to see the tape that shows the time out before the buzzer.
As any football fan knows, when a first down is reached, the clock stops until the ball is spotted. The Pittsford player was tackled with 4 seconds left on the clock. Then the entire Hilton team ran on the field before the ball was spotted. Its pretty clear here.
the clock is stopped on a 1st down and is started when the ball is snapped not when the reff blows the whistle
To set the record straight, ALL visiting teams leave by the back way. I am sure tensions were high and Pittsford took some unnecessary precautions by lining their players up in a march to leave, but there was no - and never will be any - concern of Hilton players attacking anyone. Hilton is dedicated to their sports, but they are certainly not violent. It was the referees that were escorted out by security, but again this was unnecessary.[/quoteit was your hilton supervisors that escorted the team out. and yes they were escorted

Continued,,
Yes, the Hilton fans were yelling at the officials of that game due to the ambiguity of that game-winning-call. The fans were also selectively screaming at the players on Pittsford who DID play a dirty game throughout the 3rd and 4th quarter: as some of them drove their helmets into the legs of several Hilton players after they were already on the ground. Hilton continued to play on diligently.

And YES,, actually there was a woman who was passing the Pittsford bus as she was sworn at through the open windows from the players on the bus. The woman was taken by surprise as she commented, "Why are they swearing at me?"

Continued,,
The Hilton coaches are not allowing further discussion of this game between their players. The coaches and players do look forward to playing Pittsford again in the finals.

Delucia said it well, they pulled their team together and, with luck, won that game. This was an upset for Hilton, who seemed to have their player’s heads very strong into the game this year. It is going to be a wild season.

In response to TheNight187
Alright i was there and at no time was there any profanity by the pittsford players or parents. after their celebration at the end of the game, which was similar to the one that Hilton had mistakingly displayed minutes earlier, the team was silent. in fact the security guards were so worried about the hilton fans would attack the pittsford team that they actually escorted them the back way. The pittsford team said nothing as they were yelled out and rudely gestured by the home teams fans.

Hilton vs. Pittsford: I want to see the tape that shows the time out before the buzzer. If you can produce this, this is when I will accept that fact that Pittsford won that game. It was a great game, but everyone has to admit a photo finish. I think Pittsford has to work on their manners as they left the parking lot that shouting profanity at parents that were there to pick up their kids, was uncalled for, you should make a public apology. I agree that Hilton supporters were also abrasive and should practice more control. I will admit also that if (and there was still time legitimately on the clock) Hilton was not taken by the confusion of the extra time questionably allotted, the hole would have never opened up and Pittsford would not have won that game. Great game though by both teams and I hope you can find the true meaning of the game and learn to have fun with it. Let us set some example coaches. PS, do not overdub the buzzer either.
