Living Here: The Northside Inn

"As soon as you walk in the door and order your food its made from scratch," said Dennis Verni, Treasurer of Northside Inn.
The Northside Inn has been a family run restaurant in East Rochester since 1949, and even before that the building was in the family:
"Our grandparents ran it ... known as a different name, so they were actually here twenty years before that, so they actually ran it during the prohibition," said Donald Verni, Vice President of Northside Inn.
The Italian homemade specialties have pulled in an important list of customers--in 1995 Ryder Cup Team stopped by to have a taste, and the list of celebrities don't start there:
"In 2003 the PGA was here in fact that's when we did the renovations the finished and opened up the renovations the week of," said Donald Verni.
The Verni family grew up in East Rochester and say it has an old style feel.
"Life changes... Especially with the way the telephones are and internet most of it isn't face to face. But with East Rochester you still have the face to face, everyone knows each others first names," said Dennis Verni.
The Verni family is happy they restaurant gives back to the community that they love
"When you spend your money here your money stays here, it stays in the rochester area," said Dennis Verni.
