In the Fairport community, Hillside Family of Agencies provides services to youth with developmental disabilities in one of Hillside Children's Center's Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA) Group Homes.
The IRA residence is designed to feel like a person's home. The goal of services is to support the youth's ability to build skills and to live as independently as possible. The individuals and their families are the major decision makers in the service planning process. Goals are driven by the youth's strengths, interests, and needs. Individuals are supported in building positive relationships with friends, family, and the community.
Hillside Children's Center (HCC) is a provider of care for youth and families with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, or life-circumstance challenges. HCC offers mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, special education, safety net, and developmental disabilities services to children and families throughout Central and Western New York. Comprehensive pediatric, psychiatric, and medical consultation and coordination services are also provided. HCC services are customized based on the strengths and needs of individual youth, families, and communities.
