News 8's John Kucko talked to 2001 LPGA Champion Karrie Webb and Brittany Lincicome as they practiced.
This is John's 22nd year covering the LPGA and the standout shot he loves to revisit is one made in 1992. It happened on the 8th green on a blistering hot summer day. Dawn Coe-Jones just missed a birdie putt as he ball came to a stop on the lip of the cup. Her caddie urged her to walk up to the hole, stand over the ball and cast a shadow over the ground to cool it, then step back allowing the sun to heat it up and move the grass ever so slightly. 23 seconds after the ball stopped, it dropped in for an improbable birdie. News 8 was the only crew there to capture the shot 19 years ago.
