A major tourist attraction in the village of Honeoye Falls is drawing in beer lovers from all over.

For almost 14 years, Custom BrewCrafters has been making one of a kind beers for the whole state of New York, right in Honeoye Falls.  "We started with the concept of making custom beers for local restaurants and taverns in the Rochester/Western New York area," says President Mike Alcorn.

Over the years, there has been a number of expansions.  This brewery relocated to a different part of the village.  Now, the 29 employees are able to do much more.  Alcorn says, "We occupy 10,000 square feet of a newly build facility.  That not only allows us to make those original custom beers but also more custom beer. We also add a bottling line and facilitate a lot of tourist traffic."

That traffic is just one reason why Mike Alcorn says his business is good for the village.  On a nice summer day, Alcorn says they can see close to 1,000 people stop by to have a taste.  "We are a destination and while they are here they might spend some money over at the grocery store across the street, the liquor store, or the pizzeria, stop by a restaurant up the road."

At the end of the day, it comes down to the beer.  Custom BrewCrafters produced 4,000 barrels of beer last year.  Alcorn says a craft beer is more than just something to quench your thirst.  "It is the experience of the smell, body of the beer, the finish, the hoppiness whether it is bitter, or a warming beer."

Custom BrewCrafters is just part of the experience of living here in Honeoye Falls.
