"It has also bought people here as a destination. We also have the rabbit room. That is in its third year. It is more of an event, but center open one night a week for retail. It's another great place for people to come in and do one do another," said Joseph Notar, resident of
The Rabbit Room is just one business inside the Lower Mill of Honeoye Falls.
Owners are touched by how much the community stands behind them:
"It means a lot. It means everything. I am constantly amazed at how generous and supportive this community is," said Alison DeMarco, owner of the Rabbit Room.
Demarco says she proves to people the village motto is true everyday - "it is not as far away as it seems."
"Because our focus is mainly weddings we bring a lot of people from outside of the city which is very interesting. A lot of the people have never been here, or think it is further away that it really is," said DeMarco.
