Knighthawks Rally, But Fall Short In Buffalo

Mark Steenhuis (2+3) and Roger Vyse (2+3) each had five point nights for Buffalo, while Brett Bucktooth chipped in three goals and one assist. John Tavares recorded his 800th career assist on Bucktooth’s first-quarter tally. Mike Thompson stopped 39 saves in the win.
Rochester got a six-point night from Jordan Hall (3+3) and a five-assist effort from Shawn Williams. Williams also reached a milestone as he tied John Grant Jr.'s all-time assist record with No. 461. He eclipsed the record in the third quarter. Matt Vinc made 42 saves in the loss.
The Knighthawks (5-5) fell into fourth place in the East Division. Meanwhile, Buffalo improved to 5-3 and stand alone in the third place. The game was the 40th regular-season meeting between the two clubs. Rochester still leads the series with an all-time record of 24-16. Buffalo heads to Boston for an afternoon game Sunday.
The Knighthawks next will host the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday, March 26th at The Blue Cross Arena.
