Go Green: Rochester Power Saver

It's a small device that plugs into your circuit breaker panel.
"Most people understand that electric motors take more power to get going then they do to actually operate. But no one understand what happens with power you just paid for and wasted," says Mike Dana, owner of Rochester Power Saver.
But this device captures that energy that is normally wasted and uses it elsewhere in your home.
"It's going to capture it and recycle it back through your own panel box so your not going to waste any electricity," Dana adds.
He is the man behind this creation. He makes them right here in Rochester. Many businesses in town are already using the device. Including Keenan's restaurant in Irondequoit which just had a "green" makeover.
Dana says, "our business over the last four years has doubled every year in size. It's gone from a part time job to a completely 100% full time job."
Dana guarantees his customers will see a 10% drop in their energy use. But he says most customers see an 18-20% drop.
