Power Restored in Western Monroe County

Thousands of customers are without power in the western portion of Monroe County after a wire fell on a high-voltage transmission line and tripped-out a large circuit serving that portion of the county at 10:45 a.m.
Rochester Gas and Electric says the outage is affecting portions of Hilton, Chili, Spencerport, Greece, Gates and Parma.
The outage is affecting approximately 46,000 to 50,000 customers.
Some Kodak buildings on Elmgrove Road are without power.
Power in most of Greece has just been restored and RG&E expects to restore power to most other locations by 2:00p today.
